Bead Embroidered Labradorite Cabochon Necklace with Spiral Herringbone Ribbon Chain & Twisted Fringe. This gorgeous piece of labradorite with its flashes of gold and multiple shades of blue is the focal point for this gorgeous necklace. The cabochon is encased with miyuki glass seed beads within a bead embroidered pendant surrounded by a traditional geometric pattern. The luscious blues, lime green and white beads really compliment the beauty of the stone. The chain is a spiral herringbone ribbon finished with a beaded toggle. The pendant is done in bead embroidery backed with white leather and has twisted fringe. The piece measures 20 inches for the chain with the pendant measuring approximately 5 1/2 inches long x 2 inches wide. The Labradorite Legend An Inuit legend recalls a time when the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) became imprisoned in the rocks of Labrador. An Inuit Shaman saw the lights and struck the earth with his spear and freed them. However some of the lights remained trapped within the stone thus giving us the beautiful mineral known as Labradorite.
